The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India, has introduced 
a Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) to assist Persons of 
Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in pursuing Under 
Graduate courses in Higher and Technical fields in India. Under this 
Programme, students are granted scholarship every year. This year the last 
date for receipt of duly filled in application form under SPDC-2008 by 
Ed.CIL is 4th April 2008.
